Van flips over near roundabout

A UPS driver says he remains thankful after his company van flipped over after leaving Island Heritage roundabout. The driver says the accident happened after he was leaving the roundabout in the inside lane when a dump-truck in the outside lane side-swiped his vehicle, clipping the back end.

The motorist Mr. John Bodden said his injuries are minor at this point and said a woman who saw the entire accident approached him about stepping forward as a credible witness.

“There was actually a witness, one lady came to me and she said that she seen everything, she left me with her number and her name and told me to call her if it comes time that I need a witness,” Mr. Bodden said.

Mr. Bodden says he has scrapes and torn clothes from the accident from being dragged against the road’s surface and described the accident as unnecessary.
