Young at Arts

The road to stardom was not paved overnight and for some it begins at summer arts camps.

Students all over the island will be enrolling in an intensive performing arts programme this summer at the Harquail Theatre, enhancing their skills and understandings of music, drama and dance.

“Sometimes kids think, you know I’m going to be an actress or I’m going to be a singer and then they get involved in the programme and they realize, wow, I like it but maybe this isn’t what I’m supposed to be doing in terms of a career. Maybe I’ll do this as a hobby.  Then there are other kids who think they may like these areas, but because they haven’t had a real chance to explore them; they enter the programme, when they leave they go, this is exactly what I want to do for the rest of my life,” said Cayman National Cultural Foundations marketing manager Rita Estevanovich.

Auditions will be taking place on Saturday the 28th of May at the Harquail Theatre. Auditions will be taking place on Saturday the 28th of May at the Harquail Theatre. For more information, click on the link below.
