A fix is in the works for an often-cited traveler’s headache: the beleaguered parking payment system at Owen Roberts International Airport.
Cayman Islands Airports Authority (CIAA) CEO Albert Anderson told Cayman 27 the parking system is working fine, up until you need to pay with a credit card.
He said a solution has been identified, and the CIAA is working through the technical details to finally get it sorted out.
“We’ve hit a snag with the credit card, and I can’t explain the technical details, but there is a technical issue, not with the parking system but with the people we have to work with the credit cards, and we’ve all got our heads together around the table trying to work that out,” said Mr. Anderson.
He told Cayman 27 until that fix is in place – and he didn’t say how long that might take – credit cards can be used at the kiosk next to the automatic payment machines.
