Cayman Brac Football Club has started its training program with Harbour View FC in Jamaica.
Cayman Brac’s Michael Martin is currently on a one year loan with Harbour View training with their First Premier League team. This follows an agreement made with Harbour View’s General Manager Clyde Jureidini in August during the Brac Cup Invitational Football Tournament.
Martin played his first professional match with the club on Thursday 27 October and was named man of the match after scoring the equalizer.
Mitchum Sanford, Head of Sports on the Sister Islands says the relationship with Harbour View is only getting stronger.
“This is just one side of the agreement we have, the other side is that we are hoping to attract some of the younger boys, around 20 – 23, young men that are out of school that can actually come here and come and play for the Cayman Brac Football Club. They can help me develop my program get the standard here at a high level in training and in competition so we can do an exchange program.
Discussions are on going between the two teams to have Harbour View become an annual visiting team for the Brac Cup Invitational Football Tournament.
