Caymanian footballers excel in US

Several Caymanian footballers continue to excel on the pitch for their respective college teams in the United States.

South Georgia State College freshman Chelsea Green stands out among them, however, as she leads her team with six goals through eight appearances. Sophomore Kaela Ebanks also plays for the Hawks, while Kamaria Whittaker was expected to play this season but does not appear on the team’s roster.

Charlie Brown and Chelsea Greene are sophomores for Southern Wesleyan University. Brown has two points on the season while Greene has played in all 12 games.

On the men’s side, Anton Nelson plays for Valparaiso University but is yet to appear in a game.

Joshua Hew has appeared in four games for Cabrini University.

Matthew Guitard has played in seven matches for New York University, taking six shots.

Corey Ferguson has scored twice this year for John Brown University.

Tevin Yen has one goal on the season for Iowa Wesleyan.

Brian Martin has started one game for Warner University, in Florida.

Four Caymanians play for Northwest Kansas Technical College — Lucas Christian, Joshewa Frederick, Jamaal Seymour and Kevin Foster.

Foster has two goals and an assist, while Christian has four assists and Seymour has one goal and two assists.
