Indians power way to 1-0 series lead; Jays win again, go up 2-0

Francisco Lindor, Jason Kipnis and Robert Perez each went deep in the third to power the Cleveland Indians past the Boston Red Sex 5-4 Thursday (6 October) and take a 1-0 American League Division Series lead.

The two teams are back in action for Game 2 Friday (7 October).

Also on Friday, the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Texas Rangers 5-3 to take a 2-0 series lead in their ALDS matchup.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are in action in Game 1 of their NLDS matchup with the Washington Nationals while the San Francisco Giants and Chicago Cubs play the nightcap in their NLDS best-of-five series.
