Indians to meet Blue Jays in ALCS

The Cleveland Indians swept the Boston Red Sox out of the Major League Baseball postseason and sent David Ortiz into retirement on Monday (10 October) night with a 4-3 victory that completed a three-game American League Division Series sweep.

The Indians now will face the Toronto Blue Jays in the American League Championship Series, with the winner heading to the World Series.

Coco Crisp did much of the damage for the Indians against his former team with a two-run home run. Cleveland last advanced to the ALCS in 2007.

The National League Championship Series may be set after Tuesday (11 October) as well. The Washington Nationals could clinch a series win against the Los Angeles Dodgers while the Chicago Cubs have a chance to do the same versus the San Francisco Giants.
