A murder suspect in the Justin Manderson killing heads to court tomorrow (Monday 17 October) charged with possession of two guns and a quantity of drugs.
The 24-year-old suspect was arrested, along with two females, aged 19 and 20 respectively, during a police operation on Friday at an apartment in Lantern Point, Prospect.
According to an RCIPS media statement this afternoon officers discovered a quantity of cocaine, ganja and drug utensils at the Prospect apartment. Eleven rounds of ammunition were also recovered at the scene.
Officers also searched the suspects’ car and recovered two firearms and ammunition, along with a larger quantity of cocaine.
The 24 year old male is facing possession of unlicensed firearm, possession of ammunition and possession of cocaine with intent to supply charges.
The 19 year-old female is charged with possession of ganja, possession of utensil, possession of cocaine and possession of ammunition. The second female is also facing charges of possession of ganja, possession of utensil, possession of cocaine and possession of ammunition.
The trio remains in police custody and will appear in court tomorrow (Monday) morning.
Mr Manderson, 24, was gunned down near 7 Mile Shops, West Bay Road earlier this month. Just last week four suspects in his murder were released on bail.
