Photos for conservation

Shutter-bugs from all over the island displayed photos entered from the “Wild places open spaces” competition to raise funds for the National Trust’s conservation efforts.

Over 200 photos were submitted, 56 of these will be going towards the National¬†Trust’s 2017 week calendar.
And 16 where put on the auction block, where over two thousand dollars was raised to support the National Trust’s nine nature reserves and twelve historical sites.
“It’s really important to highlight Cayman’s natural beauty because it’s all around us, we take it for granted every single day and it’s unique and we need to conserve it, we need to keep it in the beautiful state it is now, so that future generations can enjoy it,” said Clare Lumsden, Chief Financial Officer for the National Trust
The calendar will be available in December
