Police make 4 arrests in connection with weekend slaying

Police told Cayman 27 they’ve made four arrests in connection with last weekend’s killing of 24-year old Justin Manderson, the country’s first murder of 2016.

Police said two men have been arrested for suspicion of murder. One man and one woman were also arrested in relation to ammunition and drugs found during police searches.

Two of the arrests were reported at a single address in Prospect, the other two were made at separate locations in West Bay.

Mr. Manderson was shot to death early Saturday near the Seven Mile Shops plaza after leaving a nightclub.

Last year, a murder charge against Mr. Manderson was dropped when witnesses refused to testify. He had also been found not guilty of attempted murder in a separate case.
