Seventh road fatality this year

A weekend crash on Smith Road led to the death of one George Town man.

28-year- old Michael Eden was taken to the Cayman Islands Hospital where he was pronounced dead after an accident into a residential yard around 4 a.m. on Sunday.

Officers arrived on the scene to find a silver Mazda Roadster which swerved off the road into a chain link fence at the junction of Anthony Drive and Melrose Lane.

The widow of the George Town man tells Cayman 27:

“He was a great father to our son, Dylan. My son looked up to him. His dad was his super hero”

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
