Soca Warriors can clinch Caribbean Cup group with win over Martinique

Trinidad and Tobago’s National Men’s Football Team can clinch the Group 4 Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Caribbean Cup title Tuesday (11 October) with a win over hosts Martinique.

The two teams each have three points in their group.

“Very organised, very disciplined,” Soca Warriors coach Stephen Hart said about Martinique. “I was very impressed with their discipline.”

Several other groups are still up for grabs as well.

Suriname leads Group 1 with a game in hand over Jamaica. The Reggae Boyz had their match with Suriname postponed due to Hurricane Matthew.

It is a similar story in Group 2, where French Guiana leads the way but still must play Haiti, which also had to cancel that matchup do to the hurricane.

Curacao and Antigua and Barbuda each have three points in Group 3. Curacao has one match left, versus a Puerto Rico squad that remains without a point.
