Springboks players play, train in Cayman

A pair of South Africa’s top rugby players are in Cayman to play and teach.

Springboks sevens standout Cornal Hendricks and South Africa sevens academy player Josh Moon have been playing with local clubs as part of the sevens competition at the Rugby Club.

They’ve also spent time training with local seniors and holding camps on Fridays for youth players.

“The potential in Cayman rugby is huge,” Moon said. “The players you play against, come up against — their physicality, their fitness levels, their skills are right up there with, potentially, one of the best.”

The visiting players are scheduled to hold two more youth clinics starting at 4:30 p.m. on Fridays 14 October and 21 October. Contact the Cayman Rugby Football Union if you’re interested in having your child attend.
