Webster pleads not guilty, seeks speedy trial

Former political candidate Errington Webster forcefully stated “not guilty” to each of the four charges of gross indecency read to him at his arraignment in Grand Court on Friday (14 October).

Mr. Webster’s attorney then asked for a jury trial to be held as quickly as possible. A two-week block was scheduled for 16 January.

A former senior Fire Services official, Mr. Webster is accused of sexually touching a girl under age 16, and asking her to do the same for him. He remains on bail though largely confined to a relative’s house.
