Police: no foul play, after car plunges into water

A woman died Monday (31 October) after the car she was driving plunged into the water off Marina Dr. in Prospect.

Emergency responders were called to the scene at 9:54 a.m. A police officer and two firefighters went into the water to rescue anyone who might be trapped in the car. A woman found inside was taken to the Cayman Islands hospital where she was pronounced dead. Her name has not been released.
Police say they do not suspect foul play. Investigations continue.
