Two police officers Tuesday (29 November) were found guilty of common assault.
Cardiff Robinson and Austin Etienne were convicted following a March 2015 incident where the court ruled they used excessive force. The court heard how the officers used a taser on a suspect involved in a high-speed chase after the suspect stopped and got out of the car.
The officers were placed on desk duties following the incident.
A message sent to an RCIPS spokesperson seeking information on their status with the service was not returned.
