Cops hunt illegal landers who ditched drug boat

Police continue to hunt for people they believe arrived illegally in East End Wednesday (16 November) morning.

Officers stopped and searched passing vehicles on Austin Connolly Drive near the intersection with Colliers Wilderness Road.

Police say they believe the landing occurred around 5:30 a.m., according to a press release from the RCIPS. While the boat and a substance authorities believe to be ganja was found, the people who came with the boat are still at large. Police believe they may have been trying to travel to other parts of Grand Cayman.

Police ask anyone who saw suspicious people in the East End area to call 949-7777 or the anonymous Crime Stoppers tip line, 800-TIPS.
