Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro has died.
Nine days of national mourning have been declared in Cuba, according to The UK Guardian, to mark Mr Castro’s death at the age of 90.
Mr Castro died Friday night after a long battle with illness.
However he lived long enough to see the restoration of diplomatic ties with the United States of America after years of antagonism.
US president Barack Obama, together with other world leaders, sent condolences to the people of Cuba.
