Is Black Friday overshadowing thanksgiving?

Tomorrow is expected to be a busy day for shoppers in the United States and right here in Cayman as local store clerks prepare for the commotion of Black Friday sale events.

Cayman 27 took to the streets to see what visiting Americans on Island feel about the celebrations making it’s way to Cayman and one visitor from California Mr. Frank Boecker believes Black Friday shopping might be overshadowing Thanksgiving as a holiday.

“In the United States they actually start Black Friday now on Thursday which is Thanksgiving so instead of spending time with your family enjoying the holiday you know which it’s originally for Thanksgiving, spending time with your family now stores are encouraging you to go to Black Friday on Thursday,” Mr. Boecker said.
