And Chief Officer Wesley Howell, putting on his other cap of Elections Supervisor, says with some 15,000 more doors left to knock on the Elections Office is ramping up its voter registration drive this week.
He said final training ended over the weekend and some 100 plus personnel will hit the road.
Mr Howell is calling on un-registered voters to get their status regularised, since he says once the door-to-door exercise is complete unregistered voters will have to visit the office to update their status.
“So because we are knocking on every single door on all three Cayman Islands we think it ins unnecessary to end up going back out to do a Saturday morning at the supermarket or any other voter registration drive because we have canvassed the entire country,” he says.
The last day to register to vote is December 31st.
