One man remains hospitalised while another is out on police bail after officers say a driver hit a bicyclist, fled the scene and then slammed into a concrete wall.
It all happened Friday (4 November) night when the RCIPS responded to a call of a collision between a car and bicycle near the intersection of Eastern Ave. and Shedden Rd.
The cyclist’s injuries are believed to be serious but not life-threatening.
The driver of the silver Honda Accord reported to have struck him fled and police then responded to a single-car collision a few blocks away.
The driver, a 26-year old George Town man, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident.
