Pirates Week Is Here!!!

One place where there are sure to be plenty of pedestrians this weekend. The waterfront, for this weekend’s pirates week festivities.    Cayman 27’s Philipp Richter is right in the thick of it as the buccaneers prepare to take the streets.

Just one list to the Pirates week office and you can see all hands are on deck as pirates and wenches alike stock up on last-minute supplies.    Everything from swords because the eye patches are sold out.    I spoke with several swashbucklers today who said this is among their favorite times of year in Cayman.

Friday’s festivities here actually already have started with the Pirates week 5-k run, there’s fireworks and a street dance later on as the next week and a half, Grand Cayman belongs to the pirates.
