Police investigating 3 weekend collisions

Police now say there were three collisions over the weekend, including a pair of hit-and-run incidences.

Cayman 27 reported Monday (7 November) about a man who was arrested after police say the car he was driving struck a cyclist, left the scene and then smashed into a wall.

The next incident happened early Saturday (5 November) on Shamrock Road when a Honda Odyssey and Honda Accord collided near Coral Bay Village.

The driver of the Accord left the vehicle. A 21-year-old West Bay woman was later arrested on suspicion of failing to provide a breath specimen and disorderly conduct.

Then on Sunday (6 November) police say a pedestrian was hit on North Church Street and a blue Jeep Cherokee sped off. Police located the vehicle later that evening in West Bay and a 38-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of leaving the scene of a crime.

She is currently on police bail.
