Police revive struggling swimmer

RCIPS and Joint Marine Unit officers were able to rescue and revive a man struggling in the water near Bodden Town Cemetery.

Around 8 p.m. Friday (25 November) a Marine Unit officer responded from Coewood Beach in his personal boat, followed by an officer on a waverunner and the Marine Unit vessel, Niven D, according to police.

They eventually spotted a man face down several feet from shore, administered CPR and and the man regained consciousness.

The man was taken to the Cayman Islands Hospital, where he was treated and released.
