Premier Hon. Alden McLaughlin keeps his cards close to his chest on the Information Commissioner’s order to produce the Ritch Immigration report.
The Premier, speaking briefly with Cayman 27, said he is not showing his cards on the IC’s order, but he says Government’s next move will be made public soon.
Last month Acting Information Commissioner Jan Liebaers issued the binding order for the Office of the Premier to produce the Ritch report.
He says he has two pending freedom of information appeals and the IC needs the report to determine whether it should be released.
Under the FOI law government has to respond to the order or challenge it by way of judicial review, either way a response must be made by the end of the month.
