Second man held in West Bay beating

Police continue their gang crackdown in West Bay arresting a 39-year-old man last night on suspicion of assault causing aggravated bodily harm.
His arrest is in connection with the beating of a man on Tuesday (November 2) night. He was attacked and beaten by several men near a laundromat on Birch Tree Hill Road.
He’s the second suspect arrested in connection with that incident.
The other suspect was among five people held by police in West Bay on Wednesday following a spike in gang activity in the area this week.
And flight challenges delay the arrival of Cayman’s new police commissioner Derek Byrne….
Mr Bryne was expected to arrive last evening. However the new top cop is scheduled to be on island tonight instead and will take up duty on Monday….
