This morning, another horse from the Equestrian Center has been violently assaulted.
A veteran from the department of agriculture has confirmed that the horse had been sexually assaulted.
Pebbles, a 30-year old pony is currently on antibiotics and is being closely monitored by the staff.
In August, two ponies were assaulted and one had to be euthanized due to injuries.
The Equestrian center has been trying to install a security system with C-C-T-V cameras to monitor the property, but faced issues with providers.
“It’s horrible to be suspicious, but we feel like we are being targeted, I mean there are horses and ponies all over the island and no body else has reported these kind of problems. And why is it our oldest, safest, smallest weakest animal, you know, our weaker animals are being targeted, it’s a little harrowing,” said the Equestrian Center’s, Jessica McTaggart Giuzio.
The Equestrian center has put up a ten-thousand dollar reward for anyone who has information that can result in an arrest.
