West Bay roundabout gets enhancements aimed at safety

Pedestrian safety is at the heart of recent enhancements at a busy West Bay roundabout.

National Roads Authority crews were hard at work yesterday installing a new lighted crosswalk at the intersection of Hell Road and Town Hall Road; that’s right at the entrance to John A Cumber School and the West Bay public library.

Over the weekend, crews worked to install a centre island to the roundabout, which is designed to encourage drivers to use it property.

This is the latest pedestrian safety initiative from the NRA, who has installed similar crosswalks near other schools.
