Cayman’s ARK pauses holiday food drive to focus on year-round hunger

Cayman’s ARK says it’s taking the year off from its annual “Giving is receiving” campaign, but the organisation is staying busy with other projects through the festive season.

Acts of Random Kindness’ Tara Neilsen told Cayman 27 the organisation has been blessed this year with funding for its year-round food programme “Feed Cayman,” and says it is hitting the pause button on the labour-intensive holiday food drive for 2016.

But Ms. Neilsen told Cayman 27 ARK and its volunteers are working hard every day to help families in need.

“You can expect us to be taking calls every week, emails, and working underground just quietly with homelessness, home improvements, hunger, medical emergencies,” said Ms. Neilsen.

To find out more on how you can help ARK, visit their Facebook page and drop them a message.
