Early mock exams for JGHS

While some students will be winding down for the Christmas holidays John Gray High School students will be buckling down in the books for exams.

John Gray High School principal Jon Clark said year 11 students are currently sitting their mock exams which he said will provide more time to introduce learning interventions which he hopes will improve grades.

“We changed our mock exams to before Christmas previously we had them after Christmas and the one thing when I came in late February I realise that we weren’t having as much time to put interventions in for students and some students it was just too much to pick up before it came into the real exam,” Mr. Clark said.

Mock exams have been traditionally set around Easter time however the principal believes pushing the date this early will allow time for students to garner feedback from their teachers to better prepare for them for the final C.X.C seating.
