Island Rumble Fight Cards released

Ten regional boxers will be climbing between the ropes for the Island Rumble 2017, hosted by boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao.

Stating the night in the White Collar fights are Simon Hurry of Collas Crill taking on Lee Murray of Androgroup. James Burch of Walkers Law Firm is up against Logan Chinoy of the Dalman Boxing Gym.

The main fights of the night are Hurley’s Media’s Dan Hewitt with Team Cayman taking on Jamaica’s Ricardo Beckford. In the only female fight of the night it’s Cayman’s Chambia Dalhouse, in a rematch against Jamaica’s Keron Thomas. Dalhouse won this fight earlier this year in Jamaica. Dariel Ebanks representing Team Cayman is up against Israel Johnson of the Bahamas.

It may be the fight of the night, Cayman’s Peter ‘lighting’ Lewis is taking on the World Middle Weight Champion, the undefeated IBF, WBO Champion, Luis Cuba Arias.

Cayman’s Alexander Smith will face a fighter from Team USA, however the opponent is not known yet.

The island rumble will be held at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex on Saturday, January 7th.

In addition to hosting the event, Pacquiao will also will help break ground on a half-million dollar boxing gym in Bodden Town.
