Lions all island Christmas party

It was pretty much a mega party for kids all over the island as the Lions Club of Grand Cayman hosted its largest toy drive for the year.

They called it the “All Island Christmas Party” where kids of all ages bounced around in castles, lined up for food and goodies all under mom’s watchful eyes. The party was held at the Lions Community Centre on Sunday (Dec 19).

Lions Club Vice President Ms. Tanya Mortimer said the drive had a week preparation to bring the fun to life and said the funds raised was used to help out in schools on island in addition to hosting the party.

“Those funds we use to pay for the party for today we also buy gifts for the Lighthouse School and the Sunrise School, provide them with gifts, host parties for them and we have this and then we also go out on Christmas morning where we deliver, this year we have over 600 gifts to give out,” Ms. Mortimer said.

Ms. Mortimer said over 400 kids came out to enjoy the party however she added last year’s festivities was even bigger.
