Rescued red-footed booby gets jet flight to Cayman

A red footed booby found washed up on the beach three months ago in the UK, and in terrible condition, has flown to Cayman. Not under its own power, but in a British Airways jet.

He’s being called Norman, and he was nursed back to health after suffering severe dehydration and malnourishment. Volunteers used heat lamps to keep Norman warm in the blustery UK weather.

He was rescued by the RSPCA, and once he clears a 30-day quarantine, he’s expected to join a flock of fellow red footed boobies, most likely in Little Cayman.
