Sports Minster releases statement of condolence in response to Brazilian tragedy

Cayman’s Sports Minster, Osbourne Bodden has released a statement of condolence to the family friends and fans affected by death of the Brazilian soccer club.

The statement reads:
“On behalf of the people of the Cayman Islands, I express our deepest condolences to the Brazilian Football Federation, the people of Brazil and the families and fans affected by the plane crash. In the world of sports we are used to the drama of great wins and great losses, but this incident has profoundly shocked us all. Our thoughts are with all Brazilians at this difficult time as you mourn loved ones lost.”

The plane was in electrical failure and was reported to have run out of fuel before slamming into a Colombian mountainside. There are six confirmed survivors.

She graduated with honors in Broadcast Journalism from the University of South Florida
