Northward farm fire leaves over 200 chickens dead

The Northward neighbourhood was covered in a cloud of smoke on Friday night, as a farm caught fire.

Fire Services received a call minutes after 11-pm, to a fire that was believed to be started by a woman making coal. The farm’s owner says this caused the coops on the land to catch fire, killing over 200 chickens.

No one was injured during the blaze.
