CAL flights into Norman Manley International Airport resume

Cayman Airways flights into Norman Manley International Airport have resumed after a lightning strike shut down the airfield over the weekend.

The strike is believed to have damaged the airport’s air traffic control system.

It caused several Cayman Airways flights to and from the Kingston-based airport to be canceled.

The route continued Monday (11 September) and CAL says it’s working with passengers to schedule them for recovery flights.
