UPDATE: Shamrock Road reopened, pedestrian hospitalised with life-threatening injuries

Police have reopened both lanes of Shamrock Road.

This follows a mid-morning collision today (28 May) involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian in Bodden Town.

The RCIPS says the victim was taken to the Cayman Islands Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The incident occurred on Shamrock Road in the vicinity of Trumbach Drive. Police had initially blocked off the Eastbound lane at the location and were advising motorists to avoid the area if at all possible. The area is now open to traffic.
