Former Gov’t employee pleads guilty to theft

Former Government employee Trisha Jackson pleaded guilty to the theft of nearly $19, 000, money she stole from the government.
She appeared in Summary Court today (17 May) before Magistrate Valdis Foldats who ordered a social inquiry report and a victim impact report.
Mrs. Jackson will return to court on the 31 May for a mention for the Crown to review her plea.
She will be sentenced on the 23 july.
Mrs. Jackson is charged with 8 counts of property by deception one count of theft and two counts of false accounting. All offences took place while she was employed as a government administrator.
