Drivers get ready to raise some money for a good cause while at the wheel. It’s time to the Island Heritage charity drive, the event returns for a 7th year.
Over the next three days, you’ll see staff and volunteers cheering you on as you pass the Island Heritage roundabout on Esterly Tibbetts highway.
For every car that drives past, Island heritage will donate a $1 towards the Family Resource Centre, Central Caribbean Marine Institute and the Special Needs Foundation.
“Island Heritage is actually donating the funds so it is our money that is being turned over in the end, we’re trying to drive up the number though, so that is where the community gets involved and for every car that drives by our roundabout we donate one dollar,” said Monique Bush from Island Heritage.
The Charity drive kicks off tomorrow from 7 a.m. till 7 p.m. ending on Thursday (31 May.)
