Police investigate 2 arsons over the weekend

Two cases of arson are now engaging the attention of the RCIPS.
Both incidents occurred yesterday (27 May) in the eastern districts.

The first incident was a structural fire at a residence in West Lane, Bodden Town. It occurred just before 3:45 p.m. yesterday.

The fire was extinguished and there were no reported injuries.
A 38-year-old-woman was arrested on suspicion of arson. She remains in police custody.

The second incident happened after 5:30 p.m. on Old Robin Road, North Side.
Police and emergency personnel responded to a report of a burglary and arson at a residence there.
The owners came home and discovered the residence broken into and the furniture was burnt in the house. Rooms of the residence were ransacked, nothing was reported missing.
Both matters are under police investigation.
