Six men are now on police bail after a police operation at Archie’s Bar on Shedden Road Friday (25 May) evening.
In a RCIPS press release, police say the operation was conducted by a joint task force including Customs, Department of Immigration and the RCIPS. The six were charged with several varying charges including illegal gambling.
Those arrested include;
A man, age 20 of George Town, for possession and consumption of ganja; A man aged 63 of George Town, for illegal gambling; A man, age 34 of George Town, for possession of ganja; a man, age 68 of West Bay, for illegal gambling; a man, age 56 of George Town, for illegal gambling and disorderly conduct; a man age 34 of Bodden Town, for possession of ganja and possession with intent.
The RCIPS said gambling paraphernalia, a quantity of ganja and a small amount of cash was seized during the operation.
