Recount: Layman E. Scott crowned Public High School Swimming Champions

After multiple recounts, Layman E. Scott has been crowned the first ever Public High School Swimming Champions.

The Department of Sports confirmed with Cayman 27 earlier today (29 May) that after a recalculation, three events were in fact recorded incorrectly.

The Year 9 100 metre medley mixed relay, Year 7 100 metre free mixed relay and Year 9 100 metre free mixed relay, which was originally awarded to John Gray were in fact won by Layman E. Scott. DOS Senior Swim Instructor Ryan Mushin offered his most sincere apologies for the mix up.
“After close video analysis in three crucial relays, it has come to our attention that LSHS has inched out JGHS in 1st Annual Public High School Swim Meet. Congratulations to all the swimmers who participated and swam their hearts out. Sorry for any confusion this may have caused.”
Here is an updated look at the final point standings:
1st Layman E. Scott   334 pts
2nd John Gray            324 pts
3rd Clifton Hunter      263 pts
