Cayman resumes cooperation with UK

Cayman resumes cooperation the UK on sharing of beneficial ownership information with British law enforcement officials.
The announcement came in a joint statement with UK Overseas Territories Minister Lord Tariq Ahmad and Premier Hon. Alden McLaughlin Monday (8 October.)
Premier McLaughlin, speaking on For the Record with Orrett Connor on government radio station Radio Cayman Monday, stressed Cayman’s interests remains a paramount concern.
“It is our clients here that make this place successful and our clients and our client base have to have confidence that when they do business in Cayman, when they set up their structures in Cayman that the Government is going to respect the integrity and the confidentiality of their business,” said Premier McLaughlin.
He said issues of privacy flagged by Cayman, as well as, concerns raised by the UK National Crime Agency have all been resolved.

The RCIPS has resumed its function as the Authority charged with providing the information.
