Did you wake up on Tuesday (9 October) to find yourself without power? Well, you would have been among 15,088 customers who were impacted by an island-wide power outage.
The Caribbean Utilities Company told Cayman 27 the reason for the outage was a loss of generation in one of the engine rooms.
They said crews responded immediately “and started restoration in a safe and efficient manner.”
The CUC explained the power “went out at 6:19 a.m. and all customers were restored at 7:05 a.m.”
They have apologised to customers affected by the outage.
