RCIPS making adjustments to GT shortcut to stamp out criminal activity

Police said they are making adjustments to the shortcut from UCCI to Walkers Road, to try and stop criminal activities by school students and members of the public. The RCIPS has already made some adjustments to the area by clearing up bushes to make the shortcut more visible, but police media officer Jodi-Ann Powery said they may have to take further steps to prevent the continuous illegal activities.

“What we’ve done to try and rectify that issue is we’ve spoken to other property owners in this area and they are plans being developed and made to create a fencing from the Windsor Park area to cut off the shortcut,” said Ms. Powery.

No official date for the construction of the fence was given.
