Over the weekend the Cayman Aids Foundation (CAF) hosted its second annual Dinner, Drinks and Drag fundraiser at the Marriot Hotel.
Many turned out to watch various performances at the event. Cayman Aids Foundation president Sondra Lovett said while the fundraiser was entertaining, there was a serious message behind it.
“The main focus on this event is on the Cayman Aids Foundation. So we are really looking to raising awareness around HIV and AIDS, but our bigger message is inclusivity. So we are here to create an environment that is free of stigma and discrimination,” said Ms. Lovett.
The Foundation raised around $8000 at the end of the event.
