Bodden cautious about assessing new UCCI president

Preparations are underway to welcome new University College of the Cayman Islands (UCCI) president, Dr. Stacy McAfee. Dr. McAfee is an associate vice president at the University of the Pacific. Current UCCI president Roy Bodden said while her addition is welcomed he has some concerns about her entry.

Dr. Stacy McAfee

“This is a peculiar institution and the students who attend this college, for the most part, are first in their generation, first in their family university students and so we have some cultural and political and social nuances that will need to be taken into account and balance,” said Mr. Bodden.

Dr. McAfee is expected to take over the reins at UCCI on 1 January, 2019.
