Breaking: Rough seas prompt Harbour Drive closure

Road closure

Rough seas have prompted the temporary closure of Harbour Drive, George Town on Thursday (15 November) night.

The RCIPS, in a short statement, said due to excessive sea water the road will be closed overnight.

Police said morning commuters are urged to avoid central George Town as much as possible due to the current conditions.

An update is expected to be posted at 7 a.m. Friday (16 November.)

The National Weather Service has said slight to moderate with wave heights of 2 to 4 feet with some swell likely along the west coast Thursday night and small crafts should exercise caution over open water.
