Businesses cash in on Black Friday sales

It’s Black Friday, a day considered to be one of the biggest shopping days of the year and here in Cayman shoppers headed out early to catch some of the deals at local businesses.

On Friday (23 November) at Cost U Less people clamored for sale items and Cost U Less General Manager Joe Throne said his team was prepared for the rush.

“We actually did a lot of pre-planning and we literally have employees assign in every single aisle in this store to make sure nobody is falling down or tripping over anything and stuff like that, especially with the big crowd rush in the morning. My role is to go outside and address the crowd, to tell people to take their time coming in the store because that first initial crowd is a few thousand people,” said Mr. Throne.
