Camana Bay Christmas tree lights are officially on

Christmas came to Camana Bay over the weekend.

Hundreds of Christmas enthusiasts turned up for the annual Christmas tree lighting event at the Camana Bay town centre.
Attendees were treated to a range of performances and they also reveled as it rained “snow.”

The tree lighting was just one of several things to do Saturday (17 November) night.

“We had our craft market from four to nine p.m. We have loads of great new crafts and artisans come out and sell their product and then at five p.m. we had the start of our Christmas tree lighting performances. We had a lot of new acts this year dances, quizzes, all sorts of different performances and then we had Santa come on stage to do his lighting of the tree,” said event organiser Tess Theaker.
